Biography
Amir Angwe was a Nigerian international footballer who played for BCC Lions and Julius Berger FC, and represented the Nigeria national team.
Career
As a forward, Angwe opened the scoring in the 1990 CAF Cup Winners' Cup final and was a key attacker for BCC Lions before moving to Julius Berger FC.
Legacy
Angwe collapsed following a heart attack, just one minute before the end of an African Cup Winners' Cup semi-final match against Maxaquene of Mozambique, and died on 29 October 1995. He remains remembered among Nigerian footballers who died in the course of play.
